I just want to know- can people who are on dialysis pee?

Yes: Kidney failure leading to dialysis has to do primarily with the specific functions of the kidneys failing. By specific I am referring to the removal of waste products. Many folks on dialysis still urinate a little, although usually not nearly as much. The urine they do make is generally quite abnormal, but some urine often is still made and is released in the usual fashion.

Yes.: People with End Stage Renal Failure on dialysis usually have less urination as the disease progresses. And others urinate only occasionally - and with no obvious pattern. After a kidney transplant, urination resumes as normal! LGromko MD

Some do: Some people on dialysis continue to make minimal amount of urine. Over the years, many pts lose the ability to make any urine due to complete loss of kidney function
