Survival depends...: A person goes on dialysis because her kidneys can't remove enough byproducts from her body. The byproducts are toxic when their levels get high, so survival off of dialysis depends on what remaining natural kidney function there is. Survival time would be different for each person. If she still has things to do, people to see, places to go, then it's best to get dialyzed and live a little longer.
