Quinolones: Quinolone antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin and Levofloxacin are often used as oral antibiotics for pseudomonas, but not all pseudomonas sp. Are going to be sensitive to these. A physician can do a culture and help to determine what antibiotic is going to work the best as there are other types of antibiotics that can help this.

External otitis: The most common disease of the ear associated with pseudomonas is external otitis and is not as serious as some doctors think. It may be the result of contaminated water getting into the ear or the excessive use of q-tips. A topical antibiotic with both a quinolone and a steroid is the treatment of choice.
