A member asked:

After ear infection aeruginosa pseudomonas l keep getting fluid in ear, no pain or irritation. any idea what the fluid is and where its coming from?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It is common to have increased fluid behind your ear drum after a middle ear infection, sometimes as long as 3 months or more. However, if you are talking about fluid draining out of your ear canal, you should have that looked at by your doctor. Also, if it was an external ear infection for which they gave you ear drops, it would be unusual to still have fluid and should be evaluated.
