A member asked:

What could be the cause of some lethargy and excessive salivation in a toddler?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lethargy: In the past these symptoms could imply a serious infection called epiglotitis. This is caused by a bacteria called h. Influenza type b. For about 20 years theres been a vaccine for this called hib vaccine. I would worry now about severe tonsillitis.
