Urethral narrowing.: Urethral stricture disease is a narrowing of the urethra, usually associated with scarring. They can occur anywhere along the length of the urethra. They are often caused by trauma from instrumentation, stones, infections, or may be congenital. They present as difficulty or pain with urination, with obstructive symptoms like weak stream. Treatments include dilation, urethrotomy, and urethroplasty.
