Several causes.: A urethral stricture is a narrowing of the urethra, causing urinary difficulties or obstruction. There are many causes. Injury to the urinary tract from instrumentation, pelvic fracture, or straddle injury are causes. Sexually transmitted infections, skin diseases such as lichen sclerosis, congenital abnormalities such as hypospadias, and radiation therapy for cancer are potential causes.

Can be...: Can be congenital (born with it), sequel of std-related urethritis, injury by any procedures through urethra, chronic inflammation such as bxo (balanitis xerotica obliterans), etc. Detail? Ask urologist timely.
