Urge incontinence options are behavioral therapy, bladder training, medication, injections of Botox into the bladder muscle and neuromodulation (at the ankle -posterior tibial nerve, or implanted device at sacrum).

Based on type: Stress urinary incontinence (sui) which is leakage associated with coughing, laughing, sneezing, etc. Is usually best treated with a minimally invasive procedure called a tvt (tension free vaginal tape). Urge incontinence (ui) is first addressed with anticholinergic medications such as oxybutinin, detrol, vesicare, (solifenacin) enablex. If ineffective/not tolerated, sacral neuromodulation therapy (interstim).
