Commonly harmless: The sensation of a lump in the throat and occasional difficulty swallowing is most commonly harmless, with benign causes including gerd (acid reflux, treated with anti-reflux meds), and anxiety/stress. Much less commonly, this can signify a tumor growth in the throat, which an ENT doctor can rule out with a flexible scope.
