Wider shoes: Sometimes wearing a wider shoe can take the pressure off the toe that hurts. You may be able to lift the nail border and carefully get a small piece of cotton in between the nail and the skin to prevent the rubbing. Consult your podiatrist if these measures do not work. He/she will fix it for you!

Cut straight: Very important to cut the toenails straight across and then to file the toenails short. These are not fingernails, so do not cut down the sides.
