Nasal obstruction: Septoplasty is typically performed to relieve or improve nasal obstruction. The adenoids are lymphoid tissue that sits in the back of the nose and can also contribute to nasal obstruction.

No connection: Both procedures can be performed to improve nasal breathing. Septoplasty straightens the nasal septum while adenoidectomy removes the pad of lymphoid tissue in the nasopharynx. I don't routinely perform adenoidectomy with septoplasty but if it is obstructing your airway that might be beneficial. I hope this information is helpful.
