Adenoidectomy : Is done through the mouth under general anesthesia. Adenoids are located in the upper throat just above/behind the soft palate/uvula. A dental mirror is used to see the area.Removal can be done with a microdebrider that cuts and suctions tiny pieces of tissue out. Another way is to remove the adenoids using a curette. Adenoids can also be be vaporized using coblation.
