Morphine: Ask for a referral to see a pain doctor. There many other options available- both medication and non-medication that possibly need to be explored.

No Max Dose: Actually there is no maximum dose of morphine. Narcotic doses are limited only by side effects which vary from person to person. Most likey your doctor is not comfortable increasing your dose further since you are still in pain. Just ask him/her to refer you to a pain specialist.
