It isn't the way!: Whey protein is like all protein, which when metabolized can acidify the urine and less so the blood. All protein can do this, to some extent. However, the ability to use free fatty acids is enhanced in a slighly acidic fluid. This is not a health issue, unless you are in renal failure or have renal tubular acidosis.

YES: All animal proteins are acid formers. You can helpto offset that by including a high quality "green powder" into the mix. These vegetable juice concentrates are very alkalizing.
