Not in small amounts: High protein intake, defined as more the 1-1.3 gm/kg body weight will begin to increase the uric acid which is a breakdown product of protein. Increase uric acid will be a risk factor for gout. So estimate your protein intake from food and supplements and use supplements only to keep intake in normal range, not higher than 1.3 gm/kg body weight.
