All surgery has risk: Every surgery has a risk. Common risks are infections, bleeding, numbness, and scarring. The training and experience of your surgeon can minimize complications. Visit the american society of plastic surgeons web site asps.Org for a list of potential complications.

Pros and Cons: Liposuction and breast augmentation are a fairly common combination. Each case must be evaluated independently by an experienced professional, but in general, the combination can be safely performed in tandem. The downside is two areas to heal after surgery. The upside is two areas of improvement, with one recovery period.

Low downsides: The two procedures can be complementary especially if the breasts are being lifted/augmented by surgery and the areas adjacent to it i.e.The axillary fullness and the abdominal and flank bulges are taken down with liposuction. It is safe to combine these two procedures in this setting if indicated. The downsides can be a longer procedure time, increased costs, need to wear compression in hot weather.
