Lipo breast uncommon: Liposuction is not a typical part of a breast reduction, though it can be done in some cases. Removing fat from the breasts makes them more dense, so while they will be smaller they may still feel too heavy. Also, most breast reductions also need a lift so liposuction doesn't help with that.

Depends: Tumescent liposuction using microcannulas can be very effective for oversized fatty breasts. If the breasts are mostly glandular, rather than fatty, it isn't effective. Dr. Jeff klein has documented actual lifting after this technique, although not as much as with traditional lift.

Debatable: Liposuction can remove fat but then the breast is not all fat. The skin is not tightened either using liposuction alone. Some surgeons do a combination procedure which can work well.

Minimal: Liposuction is commonly used in addition to tissue excision to improve contour and shape of the reduced breast. Liposuction alone for breast reduction however, does not address the excess breast skin and leaves the breast looking deflated.
