Work out when hungry: Not necessarily. Just because you are hungry doesn't mean your glycogen stores are depleted, meaning you won't just burn stored fat. However, if your glycogen stores are depleted, your body will go into ketosis and start burning fat as a source of energy. The key is to just exercise consistently, and not worry about when you work out relative to eating.
