The vast majority : The vast majority , esp the larger ones will be found , however it has been shown in studies that up to 40% of patients who undergo colonoscopy will have polyps that were missed , either because they were small or behind a fold.That is why we recommend that patients in whom polyps are found should undergo repeat colonoscopy 3-5 years later.
