Diabetes Rx: There are currently 14 drug classes (including insulins) to treat type 2 diabetes with many more to come in the coming years. In addition to the above medications, the basis of diabetes treatment is healthy diet and proper lifestyle choices. A team approach (dietician, exercise specialists, physicians,...) is the best way to deal with this condition.
