Much.: Erythrocytes are red blood cells, carry oxygen and provide energy. These are the most numerous cell type in the blood. Leukocytes are white blood cells. They are involved in fighting infection. Platelets are involvedin clotting the blood. These cells are much smaller than the other blood cells. If low, erythrocytes and platelets can be transfused. They all look different microscopically.
