A member asked:

68 y.o fem previos history of apl leukemia has a 13% count of atypical lymphocytes. hemoglob 11.7, eritrocytes 3.34, platelets 190 and leucocyte 3.5 ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Recurrence unlikely: I see you are in Bolivia. What a lab counts as an atypical lymphocyte varies from lab to lab, but this may be nothing more than a minor viral illness in a lady with a very mild anemia. Acute promyelocytic leukemia cells won't be mistaken for atypical lymphocytes.
