A member asked:

Is there any chance to pass stevens johnson syndrome from mother to child during pregnancy?

No: However, having steven johnson syndrome while pregnant can be serious for the fetus if the mother has either system infection and /or organ failure. These can impact the fetus and possibly cause fetal demise or injury from poor perfusion. This disease requires high-risk OB care (perinatology) involvement to monitor both the mother and fetus carefully.

No: This would be extremely rare. Passing on your medication is a possibility, not passing on the disease syndrome that is caused by the medication.
