A member asked:

Is it possible that a cobalamin deficiency during pregnancy cause both the mother and child to form mental illness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Child risk: efects: The child's risk is birth defects, including anencephaly and spina bifida and some other birth defects. The mother is more likely to form depression, anxiety, psychosis, or memory difficulties.I can;t find any literature on intrauterine B12 deficiency and mental illness per se.
