What is chronic thrombo embolic disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Recurrent blood clot: This is a disease of recurrent clots forming in the extremities and usually lodging in the lung. Sometimes it is discovered by finding a clot in the lower leg, but is also found when pulmonary symptoms such as shortness of breath or cough become apparent. Ct scan of the lungs often demonstrates multiple clots.
