Zopiclone causing flatulence, wife can't stand it, but can't sleep without it. how to help?

Zopiclone flatulence: This hypnotic med is intended for short-term use (4 weeks) & may cause GI upset including flatulence. Perhaps activated charcoal capsules or simethicone can lessen /eliminate the flatulence. What other meds/ supplements are being taken? There may be an interaction that is exacerbating the problem.
