Depends: Gh injections are given to patients with growth disorders when they meet particular criteria. A pediatric endocrinologist is the doctor who takes care of patients who use gh. In general, if there is significant growth potential, and the patient qualifies for treatment, gh may be started. The more mature the growth plates, the less growth potential there is.
