Glands: Endocrine glands are organs in your body which release signals (hormones) into the blood stream that are directed toward other glands or other body organs to produce a particular response. For example, the pituitary gland releases TSH to stimulate the thyroid gland to make T4 & t3 (liothyronine). T4/t3 (liothyronine) regulate TSH production in kind. A disorder would disrupt the function of one or more endocrine glands.
