PCOSOVARIAN: This is a biochemical diagnosis. It is associated with high androgen ie male hormone levels, weight gain and Insulin resistance, irregular menses. The androgens cause hirsutism, acne, allopecia. Insulin resistance predisposes to type 2 diabetes mellitis.
