No: Once you have developed a hernia which is a defect in the abdominal wall it will be there till it is repaired. Some patients get relief from the use of trusses for wide based-direct type inguinal hernias( esp in the elderly).Some also get support from abdominal binders for wide-mouthed hernias

Depends: If its a small hernia you may be able to strengthen the oblique abdominal muscles enough to keep it contained. Inversion yoga postures ( head and shoulder stands) may also help but be careful of your neck -, see a good yoga instructor for guidance.

Probably not. : A hernia is a physical disruption of the abdominal musculature. If getting bigger or if causing pain you should fix it. I not, you may be able to safely watch it. Especially if it has been stable for years. Don't pay for any magic creams, electronic devices or copper bracelets that promise to fix it.
