Neither will cure: Umbilical hernias in babies ; very young children mostly resolve on their own. Otherwise surgery is required to cure a hernia. Hernias are due to protrusion of tissue through a defect in muscle or fascia. Indirect inguinal hernias are due to failure of peritoneal protrusion to close spontaneously after birth. Trusses may temporize. Neither manipulation or any medication can correct hernial defects.

No: No a hernia is a defect in the inguinal tissues and the only treatment is surgical or wearing a truss
