Measles: No. Usually measles is the most contagious before anyone knows they have it! as a rule about 3-4 days after the rash is present the person can no longer spread the disease, but by this time they have already been contagious for more than a week!

No: The clinical course of measles has 3 stages a. Incubation period at least eight days while asymptomatic b. Prodrome stage; symptomatic and c. Skin rashes; 5 days after the onset of symptoms an individual with measles can spread the disease to others for about 8 days; starting 4 days before the symptoms appears and ending when the rash has been present for 4 days.
