Low purine foods: Uric acid (ua) in the blood stream is there as a breakdown product from a certain protein (purine) in foods. Some foods are higher in purines- eating them raises ua.Reducing intake of those foods, reduces the levels of ua beyond that, increasing elimination of ua through the kidneys would lower blood levels, but I am not aware of any foods that would specifically help the elimination of ua.
