Yes, absolutely: A caregiver is anyone who assists a patient through their medical diagnosis. I recommend you meet with your mother's breast cancer team of doctors and nurses to see what support is needed. One problem is that caregivers give so much to the patient that they forget their own needs. Many facilities have resources to help, please don't be afraid to reach out for assistance. Good luck!

Genetic counselor: I recommend you meet with a genetic counselor who can review your family medical history in detail. Tests can be done to determine if you have a risk of developing different types of cancer (breasts and others too).

Chill: Anybody can have cancer but why are you so worried? She should be getting yearly mammos and physical exams. If she detects any abnormality in her breasts, she should visit her doc right away. Best to both.
