A member asked:

Are child psychiatrists different than normal psychiatrists?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

What is normal: How can i avoid asking the question, "what is a normal psychiatrist..." :-). I guess I have heard too many psychiatrist jokes during my professional life... A child and adolescent psychiatrist has received extra training beyond a residency in psychiatry in the particular problems of children and adolescents and their treatment. Child psychiatrist may also see adults or may only see children.
