Psychology: All stigma have in common a personally relevant standard. It could be an opinion, it could be personal experience, or it happened to a friend etc. Nevertheless, the standard only applies to the person with stigmatizing views. Not to anyone else. They are applying they're own 'conventional wisdom' to unconventional matters or decisions. Suffer them with dignity. Rise above.
