It varies: Most weight loss pills over the counter have substances in them that are a type of naturally occurring caffeine to give your body an energy boost. Some people consider this a slight increase in metabolism. Also, they often have some type of appetite suppressant or water pill. There are various types and i recommend you ask your physician prior to taking one.
