Alli: The only fda approved over the counter weight loss drug is Alli (orlistat). This blocks fat absorption and leads to 5-10% weight loss. Taken with each meal. If too much fat is eaten severe diarrhea can occur. It costs $55 a month. Before and during using medication, a restricted calorie and carbohydrate diet should be followed and recorded. Daily exercise for 45 min too. Good luck!
