Yes: Ask my patients. I work mainly with an active duty military population who can loss their career if over-weight. I have quite a few patients whom i see weekly - who have lost between 25 to 40 pounds. But - you need to be physically active, ensure that calories burned exceed calories in and have a healthful lifestyle. The needles simply help to suppress appetite (esp. Junk carbohydrates).

Does hoodia work for weight loss?

It depends...: It's like most things. It works for some, and not for others. Be sure you are getting the hoodia from a reputable source. The effective dose: some people only need 1, 000 to 2, 500 mg per day while others need 3, 000 to 4, 500 mg per day. I'd recommend starting at the lower dose, and then increase if necessary. You should start seeing a difference within 2wks if you are going to respond.

Prevent fat absorbti: Alli promotes weight loss by decreasing absorption of fat by the intestines, which reduces the number of calories you absorb. Lipase, an enzyme found in the digestive tract, helps break down dietary fat into smaller components, so it can be used or stored for energy. Alli works by disabling lipase, which prevents the enzyme from breaking down the fat while it's in intestine and poop undigested fat.

Only more effort: The only way these coyld work is by adding extra weight to what you carry. I you work out with an 8 pound belt you'll burn more calories than if you worked out not carrying those extra eight pounds.
