Get all options: The standard of care for colon cancer with liver metastases has changed radically now that molecular typing of these tumors is available. I will assume this was done. A frank talk with an honest oncologist is due, and there is talk of cures depending on the molecular type. Get all the facts, and remember that comfort-measures-only is also an option.
