A member asked:

Is it true that aneurysms are hard for a cardiologist to detect?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cath is not good: During left heart cath some cardiologist will inject dye into the aorta looking for aneurysms . This may raise the suspicion of an aneurysm but most of the time it will be missed . They need to get duplex ultrasound or a ct angiogram
