A member asked:

I am on atenelol 25mg 2x per my cardiologist instructions, taking for pressure. i am reading online that this med might not be safe. is this true?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not true!: Atenolol's very safe and has been around > 30 years - it's not new or experimental . There are no surprises; we know everything about it. That said, remember ALL meds have potential for side effects, even aspirin. Water can cause "water intoxication" with seizures in some people. So you have to trust the judgement of your doctor who knows all about you. If you don't, change doctors.
