When it affects life: Well it's hard to define what "disordered eating" means to you, but generally people who have eating disorders usually are below 85% of ideal body weight, have a fear of gaining weight, and in females having irregular , or non-existent menstrual cycles. Bulimia is usually characterized by a perceived loss of control over binge eating and excessive efforts to purge. There are other disorders too.

Probably not: An eating disorder is a symptom of an underlying neuropsychiatric problem, such as OCD or anxiety. Disordered eating is a misguided voulntary attempt to lose weight by limiting foods or portions. Check with your doctor to see if you fall into the former category, or need nutritional guidance.
