Yes.: Pneumonia can be localized affecting just a small portion of the lung or widely distributed. When widely distributed, this could be referred to as multifocal or multilobar pneumonia.

Yes: Pneumonia from a variety of causes can occur at any age from birth on. The germ or agent involved often determines whether is is localized to one spot or diffuse to the point of both lungs.
