Had ear infection now severe jaw pain. related?

May be related.: The jaw joint is very close to the ear. Pain in the ear may be an ear infection, or it may be a jaw joint problem. Rarely, an ear infection can spread to the jaw joint. So yes, ear pain may be related to the jaw pain you're experiencing.

Yes: Many times a tooth problem can cause ear pain and this could have been your problem from the start. I would definitely see your dentist to have this checked. Jaw pain be be caused by medical conditions as well so would have this problem diagnosed as soon as possble.

Vice Versa: This type of problem can actually go both ways. An ear infection, if not attended to, can spread and then start causing jaw pain. The jaw joint is very close in vicinity of the ear. A tooth infection, on the other hand, can spread and include the nerve tissues which gives the opposite result. See a doctor/ent, and deal with both there first. If it is also tmj, we come next.

Yes, but: Yes, ear infection can cause jaw pain Jaw pain can also cause ear pain, I've seen many patients who were diagnosed by MD with "ear infection" - treatment with antibiotics no improvement. Was actually TMJ problem. If your symptoms persist after treatment of ear infection, see dentist to rule out TMJ.
