Drugstore: The drug store many times has temporary cement in the dental aisle that you can mix up and put in the crown. If you can't find any, you can also uses denture adhesive such as fixodent, it just doesnt work as well. Otherwise call your dentist and it typically takes 30 secs to put it back on and they most likely wont charge you (if you got the temp crown done there).

Otc cement: Drugstores sell temporary dental cements. Clean and dry temporary, mix cement according to instructions and place onto tooth...The temporary crown will only fit in one direction. If you can't find a temporary cement, you can try using a denture adhesive paste such as fixodent. It doesn't hold as long, so you may have to reapply. Call your dentist as soon as you can to have it recemented properly.

See the dentist: It is important to keep temporary crown in, as it prevents teeth from moving. Dentist can prevent it from falling out by making a good fit, cementing it with right cement, and also you can help by not chewing sticky food as the crown is there just temporarily...
