My dad has kidney cancer and has started coughing up lung stuff. what can i expect now; seems worse?

Chest xray needed: This will tell if there is cancer spread to the lungs. If it hasn't, his physician will look for some other treatable disease or call a pulmonologist. If it has, the next question is whether he is a candidate for one of the new therapies that have proved remarkably effective for advanced kidney cancer.
