A member asked:

What can be done for a toddler who is getting to be overweight?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Limit intake: Infants and toddlers can be voracious eaters. This is instinctual but can be controlled by the parents. Discuss with your pediatrician nutritious alternatives lower in calories that will "fill" the child up but not contribute to caloric intake. Parents have total control of what a toddler eats but need to regulate this and not let the child dominate their thinking.
