What are the chances of getting mouth cancer from smoking?

It depends: This depends on how much and for how long you have been smoking. Smoking is the biggest risk factor for developing oral cancer, but genetics, alcohol use and exposure to human papillomavirus are other risk factors.

Moderate risk: Tobacco use increases your chances of mouth cancer six-fold than if you don't use tobacco. However there are many other factors to consider to calculate your specific risk. Genetics, alcohol use, age, hpv status and others.

Cumulative: Cumulative effect. The more you smoke, the longer you smoke, the greater chance of developing oral cancer.
