Yes, definitely: Yes, most definitely. The lower lip is one of the most common places in the oral cavity to get oral cancer. It is possible to get cancer anywhere in the oral cavity from smoking. The lower lip also gets a lot of sun exposure, which makes it especially susceptible. Smoking along with drinking alcohol makes things even worse. Best answer is to stop smoking.

Yes It Is.: Lip cancer can be caused by cigarettes, especially non-filtered ones which have a hot area contacting your lips. Lip cancer is much more likely from pipe or cigar smoking, since the heat is largely responsible for dangerous changes within the cells of the lips. Also, pipes & cigars tend to be held in the same position for long periods of time, concentrating the heat. All tobacco use is dangerous!
